This book contains 21 walks for all seasons in this naturally beautiful corner of the eastern counties. There is an almost unsung quality about the variety of walking in this area. There are days in the hills of Rutland when the sun is shining, and the lambs are bleating when it feels and sounds like a gentler version of the Yorkshire Dales. But if you go east of Stamford no more than five miles the hills fade into the flatness of the Fenland edge which provides a fascinating backdrop to some of the other walks in this guidebook.

The book is printed in full colour and each walk is presented on a two-page spread with detailed route-finding instructions, a clear sketch map and photographs. Some routes have a double two-page spread. Essential information is provided including a difficulty rating, distance, time, where to park, and route highlights. The walks are organised according to time taken, from 1 hour to over 2 hours. There is an overall map showing the location of the walks.
