Walking in the South Downs National Park Cicerone Guidebook

Walking in the South Downs National Park Cicerone Guidebook

by: Kev Reynolds
The South Downs, England's newest national park, stretches in a 100-mile arc between Eastbourne in East Sussex and Winchester in Hampshire. With some of the most iconic landscapes in southern England, including the white chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters, walking in the park proves a delightful experience mile after mile.

This guide contains 40 carefully researched and accessible circular walks that cater as much for the casual stroller as for the long distance walker. Each walk has clear route finding instructions together with full colour OS 1:50000 scale Landranger mapping with the routes highlighted. There are lots of colour photographs and additional background information about places of interest. An introductory chapter provides an essential overview of the South Downs. The routes include romantic villages and prehistoric sites to provide plenty to fire the imagination and captivate your interest.
