From a spectacular coastline of sand dunes, saltmarsh and tidal creeks to the unique Norfolk Broads and big-sky country of the Fens, Norfolk's rich and varied landscapes make it an ideal walking destination.

Medieval churches hide down quiet country lanes, stately homes and ruined castles dot the landscape, and there are many Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest to explore. It is a supreme county for spotting wildlife, be it grey seals on the north coast beaches or flocks of uncountable waders in the Wash.


This guide describes a variety of circular day and half day walks right across the county, some using the best sections of the county's long distance paths, among them the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path, Boudica's Way and the Weavers' Way. There are 40 routes in the Broads, the Brecks, the Fens and along Norfolk's spectacular coastline. They range in distance from 4 to 12 miles and are accessible for anyone of reasonable fitness and are walkable all year-round.

All of the walks have clear route instructions plus full colour OS 1:50,000 mapping with the route highlighted. There is an excellent introduction to the area, lots of colour photographs and all the essential practical information you require for planning and on the walks.
