This guide, a companion to the Lincolnshire Wolds North booklet, describes ten varied and interesting circular routes in the southern Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. The distances vary between 4.5 and 8 miles.

The highest points in the southern half of the Lincolnshire Wolds are around the Tetford area; Tetford Hill, north of the village is 142m. The Wolds have been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is also rich in wildlife and contains several nature reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

Walks include Somersby where the poet George Tennyson was rector, Winceby, site of a Civil War battle, and Old Bolingbroke near Bolingbroke Castle, birthplace of Henry IV. The directions are simple and detailed and include clear pencil drawn sketch maps.

Winceby and Snipe Dales - 6.5 miles
Old Bolingbroke - 6.5 miles
Horncastle and the canal - 4.5 miles
