This excellent Pathfinder guidebook provides 190 miles of challenging walking for adventurous ramblers in 24 outstanding upland routes in the Lake District. In total, more than 70,000 feet of height taking in over 50 soaring high fell summits, including 15 Marilyns. Aimed at experienced, well-equipped and reasonably fit walkers, from High Pike to the Old Man of Coniston and Yewbarrow to Harter Fell, these are all exceptional fell-top rambles.

Each walk chapter includes detailed navigation instructions and full colour Ordnance Survey 1:25000 scale Explorer map extracts with the route clearly shown. Key points in the text are referenced to the map and GPS waypoints. A side panel gives essential facts such as distance, height gain, route terrain and parking information at the start. Additional panels give some useful background information on features of interest. The book is illustrated with plenty of colour photographs.
