This Pathfinder Guide makes the ideal companion for exploring the Snowdonia National Park. Clear and easy to follow directions are accompanied by detailed Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale maps and specially commissioned photographs. There are 28 routes which are colour coded according to walking time; short walks up to 2.5 hours, medium walks of 3 to 4 hours, and long walks over 4.5 hours. This makes it easy to select a walk to suit the time you have available. The guide introduces you to the area and highlights the most scenic walks. Each walk entry has a green panel down the left hand page giving all the important practical information at a glance. This includes start location, distance, height gain, walking time, route terrain, parking details, OS map references and GPS waypoints. The text begins with a short overview of the walk in italics highlighting the route's main features. The following detailed route finding instructions have paragraphs numbered corresponding to numbers on the OS map making navigation safe and easy. There are GPS references for all the route waypoints and the route is highlighted in yellow on the full colour map. The guide also includes information about good pubs and places of interest along the route.
