River Manifold Walks Guidebook

This book combines two types of walking route. The first part describes a 23 mile linear long distance route in three stages. It allows you to experience the outstanding beauty of the Staffordshire Moorlands from the source of the River Manifold near Flash to the picturesque and popular area of Ilam and Dovedale. The second part of the book describes 12 mostly easy going circular walks of between 3 and 9 miles, which allow relaxed and informative strolls around the length of the River Manifold's course.

Detailed descriptions of the walks are designed to give confidence to those who are unsure of following public rights of way. An indication of the terrain and likely effort required is provided within the description of each walk. Detailed sketch maps and black and white photographs are included.
The starting points for the circular walks are: Flash; Longnor; Hulme End; Wetton Mill; Weag's Bridge; Ilam.
