More Walks to the Lakes of Mid and North West Wales

Des Marshall's first book of walks to the Lakes of Mid and North West Wales only gave an inkling of how many lakes there are in this area. In this second volume he has tried to include some of the lesser known lakes as well as some well-known ones. This book has walks from the Carneddau in the north of Snowdonia all the way down to the Llyn Clywedog near Llanidloes, just beyond the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Some of the walks are ideally suited for taking along a picnic, Llyn Mair and Llyn Clywedog are examples.

The 24 walks vary in length from less than a mile, up to 8 miles. Each walk entry begins with a short overview description giving an indication of difficulty and features plus the starting point including grid reference. Detailed route finding instructions follow in numbered paragraphs relating to numbered points on an associated sketch map. There is a summary table of the walks which gives starting place, distance, grade, time and details of terrain.
