More Favourite Walks around Oswestry and the Borders Guidebook

This book describes sixteen walks between 4 and 6 miles long varying in grade from leisurely, relatively flat walks to moderate or strenuous hill walks. The walks in the Tanat Valley, while relatively strenuous, provide spectacular views of the Berwyn Mountains, the Tanat Valley and the Shropshire Plain. The walks to the south introduce the countryside around the confluence of the Rivers Severn and Vyrnwy. Also included are four walks of different lengths and grades from Oswestry town centre to introduce the lovely countryside on the town's doorstep. To the north there are two walks in the lovely but steep sided Ceiriog Valley and to the east the book introduces walkers to Overton and the River Dee.

Each walk chapter begins with the practical details of grade, start point and grid reference, distance, total ascent, time and terrain. A highlighted box follows giving a description of the walks features. Clear route finding instructions follow in numbered paragraphs, the numbers also being shown on the accompanying sketch map. A height profile diagram is also provided.
