Kent Pub Walks Guidebook

Kent Pub Walks Guidebook

by: David and Hilary Staines
If you enjoy both walking and visiting country pubs, this book should appeal. All the inns are in Kent and surrounded by excellent walking country. The pubs have been selected for their good food and the routes give the walker the opportunity to experience the great variety of Kent's glorious countryside and coastline.

The circular walks vary in length from 2 to 7 miles and each is described in detail, together with accompanying sketch map and information on how to get to the start, where to park and places of interest nearby. Practical information also includes the distance, the relevant OS Explorer map sheet number and start point grid reference. There is a description of each pub including telephone number, post code and website address. The book is printed in full colour and there are numerous photographs throughout.

The twenty routes take you through some of the best countryside in England. Included are historic and 'best kept' villages such as Eynsford and Lamberhurst, Lympne with its cliffs and sweeping vistas, Upnor on the River Medway, Leeds Castle, and the ancient port of Appledore.
