Day Walks in Somerset features 20 routes of between 7 miles and 15 miles in length, spread across the county of Somerset, including Exmoor National Park. Researched and written by experienced and local authors, the walks range from gentle rambles to more challenging day walks, all through interesting and varied landscapes.

The book splits the walks into five sections: Exmoor, Quantock Hills and Blackdown Hills, Somerset Levels, Mendip Hills, and Bath and North- East Somerset. The routes explore the best that each section has to offer. The book is beautifully produced with lots of stunning colour photography. Each walk has easy to follow route instructions and Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale map extracts. Each walk chapter has a panel giving basic information including distance, total ascent, estimated time, starting point grid reference and satnav location, and OS Explorer map sheet number. Refreshment stops and local information are also provided.
