Coastal Pub Walks in Dorset Top 10 Walks Guidebook

Coastal Pub Walks in Dorset Top 10 Walks Guidebook

by: Fiona Barltrop
The excellent pubs found along Dorset's coast well compliment the walking to be had along this superlative stretch of the South West Coast Path. The Dorset and East Devon coast, known as the 'Jurassic Coast' is England's first natural World Heritage site. It covers 95 miles of stunning coastline with rocks recording 185 million years of earth's history. The pub walks here are ordered from west to east starting with Lyme Regis and finishing at Studland.

Each of the selected circular walks incorporates a stretch of the South West Coast Path with most starting and finishing close to a superb pub. Combined they cover the very best stretches of Dorset's coastline, one of great natural beauty and variety. Needless to say, tourist honeypots like Lulworth Cove can get very busy, especially in peak season, but once away from the car parks you can always escape the crowds on the Coast Path. With the pubs open all year and the walking good in all seasons Dorset's coast is a year-round destination.

This little pocket guide is produced in full colour with an emphasis on stunning professional photography. Each route has clear easy-to-follow numbered instructions including all the practical information you require, and full colour mapping based upon the Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 maps. There are also fascinating facts about places along the way.
