Walking the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path Guidebook

Walking the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path Guidebook

by Carl Rogers
The Isle of Anglesey Coast Path runs for over 200km (125 miles) through some of the grandest coastal scenery in Wales: wide sandy bays and estuaries, intimate coves, dramatic cliffs and rocky islets, sand dunes and forests. Much of this coastline is designated as one of Wales' five Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is now a key section of the Wales coast Path.

This Official Guide has been designed to provide all the information needed to plan and walk the coastal path and includes information on accommodation, public transport, seasonal closures, tidal restrictions and a distance chart. The walk itself is described in twelve day-walk chapter sections with detailed route descriptions and full Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 scale Landranger mapping.
The route is described in an anti-clockwise direction. There are also comprehensive notes on points of interest encountered along the way. The book is beautifully illustrated with colour photographs and contains an introduction to the island.

The twelve sections are:
Bangor to Beaumaris - 7.5 miles
Beaumaris to Pentraeth - 12.5 miles
Pentraeth to Moelfre - 6 miles
Moelfre to Amlwch Port - 12.5 miles
Amlwch Port to Cemaes - 7.5 miles
