The Norfolk Coast - 10 Leisure Walks Book 2

The Norfolk Coast - 10 Leisure Walks Book 2

by: Tony Rothe
The Norfolk coastline must be one of the most varied in Great Britain, including wild desolate fen lands, thriving docks and ports, towering cliffs, gently rolling countryside, isolated salt marshes, nationally famous bird reserves, shingle beaches, deserted sands, dramatic heathlands, a steam railway and charming seaside towns and villages. This little book contains ten walks covering the length of coast between Wolferton and Overstrand, just to the east of Cromer. There is something for everyone - seaside, cliffs, fields, hills, marshes and heath, containing many wild habitats that will appeal to every member of the family.

All the walks are circular and begin at a car park or safe parking location with the grid reference provided. Public transport options are given where available. The walks are graded between one and three boot symbols with three boots the hardest. However, as the walks are between 1 and 3.5 miles in length none are actually difficult and the longest can be walked in a couple of hours. Clear route directions are provided together with sketch maps and the guide is well illustrated throughout with colour photographs. The handy size also means it will slip easily into your pocket.

The walk locations are:
Wolferton - 0.5 miles
Holkham - 2.2 miles
Stiffkey - 1.1 miles
Blakeney - 2.5 miles
Holt - 1.2 miles
Salthouse - 3.3 miles
Kelling - 1.5 miles
Sheringham - 2.2 miles
East Runton - 1.8 miles
Overstrand - 2.8 miles
