The walks in this guidebook are suitable for all abilities and take under 3 hours with one longer exception, so are ideal for leisurely half day outings. Clear route descriptions ensure the routes are easy to follow and Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale mapping is provided with the route highlighted.

Nidderdale is an area full of contrasts: spectacular landforms such as Brimham Rocks and the Nidd Gorge; human design at Studley, Jerveaux and Coldstones Cut; the peace and isolation of Dallowgill, Colsterdale and Dacre Banks; and picturesque towns and villages including Pateley Bridge, Masham and Ripley.

For each walk time, distance and ascent are provided plus information on start location with post code, cafes and pubs, transport, parking, and toilets.
