Walking in the Cotswolds with Children Guidebook

Walking in the Cotswolds with Children Guidebook

by: Dave Meredith
Walking in the Cotswolds with Children is a book for parents whose children may not be as keen to go walking as they are. It includes 21 walks designed to provide interest and adventure for children.

The Cotswolds offers some idyllic walking country and is Britain's largest officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This book takes you to all the best places plus a few gems that even the locals aren't aware of.

Each route has been carefully chosen to provide plenty of interest for both parents and children alike. Many of the walks have safe places for children to paddle, and over half are pushchair friendly. Paths follow well established rights of way and directions are clear enough for an older child to join in the fun by leading the walk. Along the way there are leaves to collect, questions to answer, tick lists and text of interest to children.

There is a short introductory chapter providing some practical advice. Each walk entry begins with a box giving starting point instructions, terrain, public toilets, refreshments, pushchair suitability, OS map reference and any short cuts. There are detailed sketch maps to support the navigation text and black and white photographs.
