Cumbria Way Footprint Walking Map-Guide

Cumbria Way Footprint Walking Map-Guide

by: Footprint
The Cumbria Way is a 73-mile long-distance trail that runs the length of Cumbria through some of the English Lake District's finest scenery between Ulverston in the south and Carlisle in the north. Much of the route passes through the heart of the Lake District National Park and visits some of the most scenic parts of Britain. Although passing through the highest mountains in England the Way follows well-defined paths through valleys and over passes.

This footprint map is divided into 5 sections, each portrayed on a separate panel. The route, which is clearly marked in yellow on the map, is marked in miles, starting from Ulveston. Text describing the route accompanies each section. The detailed full colour mapping is at a scale of 1:40,000 and is based upon Ordnance Survey data and is GPS compatible. Printed on waterproof and durable paper the map is reliable and easy to use on the trail and includes a plastic sleeve.

The five route sections are as follows:
Ulverston to Coniston Water - 12 miles
Coniston Water to Stake Pass - 18 miles
Stake Pass to Keswick - 13 miles
Keswick to Caldbeck - 15 miles
Caldbeck to Carlisle - 15 miles
